Johnston Home Inventory (JHI) is a small hometown company based in Four Oaks, NC. We offer property inventory and documentation services for homes, small businesses, farming operations, churches, and non-profits. Other photographic services include real estate, commercial, and documentation and investigative photography for attorneys, financial planners, and private investigators. JHI is licensed and insured and we are registered with the small business division of Dun & Bradstreet. Our web domain name (jhisolutions.com) is certified by the registrant.
About The Owner
I have suffered losses from a house fire, theft of valuables from a vehicle, damage from severe weather, and damage from a broken water pipe in my home that resulted in extensive damage. When repairs were completed and we moved back home from a 3 week hotel stay, we were overwhelmed unpacking the items we had quickly thrown in boxes while clearing out three rooms for repairs. I realized then that there is no way anybody could ever account for everything they own if it were to all suddenly be lost. As we unpacked, we began to take notes about the most important items, recording serial numbers, dates of purchase, cost, etc. Soon we added photos to our notes and that’s how Johnston Home Inventory was born. I have worked hard to developed well organized procedures for documenting and safe-keeping information on virtually everything we own.
For more than 25 years I have worked in law enforcement, loss prevention, data security, and information technology. I have been developing my photography skills since high school and taught a basic photography class.
